Dawn Mays-Floyd is an experienced and committed education professional. Leveraging her background in classical education, traditional education private school and homeschooling, Dawn has created a unique learning environment for all elementary education students. She is committed to meeting the need of every enrolled student in the full school program and/or enrichment programs. Students learn when they are with Ms. Dawn because she uses a variety of strategies and tools to create a winning methodology. Our private tutoring allows your child to have the individualized attention they need to address any academic gaps or goals. Our Saturday Scholars program is a great option for children who don't need individual attention but need an additional opportunity to work on specific academic goals in a small group class. Our Summer Enrichment program is the perfect balance of summer fun and academic preparation. Our students study and grow their language arts/reading skills, math, science - including science experiments/projects weekly, Bible memorization and art. It is a full summer with fun and splash play while they are prepared for their next academic grade.

Are you interested in boosting your kids academic competence and confidence? Is your child struggling with reading or language arts skills? Do they need additional guided practice in math or writing? Do not delay in securing the support they need to thrive. Our Saturday Scholars program is a small group, teacher led, guided intensive tutoring held every 2nd and 4th Saturday. Our Saturday Scholars program runs on an academic school year calendar. Registration is now open for the fall semester cohort.
Bible, Black History, and Bubbles during Summer
In addition to our outstanding curriculum support, you can count on your child having fun! As an early education leader, I believe that young children must return to a time of regular recess and outside play. In addition, I teach scripture weekly, filling the hearts and minds of our learners with the truth of God's word. Finally, I take the time to make sure our students learn about Black icons, Black history, and the success of Black people as part of their curriculum. Our children should not have to wait until February to learn about the significant contributions of African Americans.

My motto is to "teach where they can reach" so you don't have to worry that your child will be bored or understimulated. I will assess what they are capable of achieving and then push them to reach higher. They will be challenged academically and prepared socially to go into the next grade ready to succeed. In addition to the academic rigor students are taught necessary social skills in a loving Christian environment.

Our small size allows for us to nuture each child. We are able to make sure that they learn the school house norms but in a safe and small environment. Our environment is cleaned daily to ensure we mediate the risks of COVID and other childhood illnesses. While no environment can promise zero sickness (kids share everything) because of our small environment and cleaning measures, we can assure you that we mitigate germs and contagious disease.

We not only learn and recite the Bible, we approach every subject from math to science from a biblical world view. We use the Bible as our guide in every aspect here. We even address child conflict from the lense of "what would make God happy?" We learn to love, learn, and lead as God would expect.
